"News a plenty.
Bread and Honey (plus un-named members bar) have bought the scummy place next to Bawarchi. One half will be restaurant.
Island is to be done up. Owned now by people who own The Warwick in Maida Vale.
Havist is to be a wood fired pizzeria (yaaaaaaay!).
Thanks "mole". "
Good news on Harvist. Is it still the same people running it?
ReplyDeleteApparently it's one of the owners of the Salusbury that will be taking it over but not 100% sure
ReplyDeleteNo. It is not the same owners. It is linked to someone who used to be connected with Iris.
ReplyDeleteHeard the Diner is up for sale.
ReplyDeleteThe woman who runs Iris is married to the guy that runs the Salusbury.

What's happening on the comer of Wakeman Road next to the carpet store?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard that Costa Coffee are moving in on station terrace on the corner opposite Tesco where that restaurant used to be?
ReplyDeleteThe corner of Wakeman Road is True Associates Estate Agents - they're moving from the bottom of Kilburn Lane.
The Diner is going and it's going to be a Sainsbury's local. Wahoo.
ReplyDeleteReally? Heard the Moberly is shutting down to become shops.
ReplyDeleteHeard that it is to be a Tescos underneath Bellway Homes. A woman who works at Tesco on the rise confirmed this.
ReplyDeletePah!
Hope Sainsburys don't move into the Diner as KR with be hairdressers, supermarkets and estate agents.
Love to see a fishmongers though. It would do so well.
Madaya premises to be a Lebanese Grill and Mezze.. Written on window as coming soon

Sains local at The Diner and another Tesco at the new flats? Boring!
ReplyDeleteWas hoping for a Little Waitrose!
Is that blond Salusbury guy showing his face round the area again then, re: Harvist?
Harvist is being done as we speak. The windows are window-leened up.
ReplyDeleteSome dance studio called Frame are apparently moving in the area too.
Here is a link to the new Moberly. Looks like 3 floors with new shops and flats too.

Excited for the Pizza Place, not excited about another Tescos and loving True Associates new office!
ReplyDeleteMy 10 cents: Well I'd like one of those mini Waitrose' and a good natural food store. Sainsburys/Tesco have enough of a monopoly on the area already.
ReplyDeleteMore independent shops and businesses would be lovely..A grown up lovely neighborhood bar like you get downtown Manhattan with good lighting and cocktails...otherwise very happy with our hood!
Does that mean Tesco will move out of where they are now to the bottom of the new flats? Surely 2 Tescos within a few steps of each other is not viable even for them. Hope one of the vacant plots gets an M&S Simply Foods or a Waitrose or as someone suggested above a fishmonger. But wouldn't be surprised if its yet another estate agent. How do they manage to survive when we have so many.
ReplyDeleteThe Tesco at the station is a gold mine. There is no way they will get rid of that.
