Update

Not a lot to report really. I see there is a sign up on the plot by the corner of Chamberlayne Road and Kilburn Lane saying it's going to be flats. The pizza place by Tesco looks set to open, and the internet cafe on the bridge opposite the Overground station is closed for 'refurbishment' (rather needed by the looks of it).

We had difficulty getting breakfast on Friday morning - the new 8 Station Terrace only does cooked breakfast on weekends, and the one on College Road was on late opening hours for Easter. We did, however, that evening have sushi from Eat Sushi and I can't really recommend it enough - I have sushi about once a week and it's the best place either here or where I work I know.

what is the new place that used to be the florist next to Kensal Rise station going to be? It has had a new refit and is looking good. Also the empty shop next to Tesco is opening up as a Fruit and Veg place.

This sounfds like a bit of an advert really, but I think it's worth saying. On the way home from Paradise last night we stopped off at the fish 'n' chip shop on Chamberlayne Road opposite the Moberly and it was excellent. Although they were closed for a while the family have been on that site for over 100 years (he might have exagerated there). Well worth a look, especially when they get their licence.

With reference to the Fruit/Veg shop... If you take a look on this link

http://www.grangehillfans.co.uk/locations/series10.php

and scroll down a bit, you can see that parade as it was in an old series of Grange Hill! Also if you check back to the sections for series 3 or 4 you can see the old school on Doyle Gardens actually being used as Grange Hill itself...

Heard that Nikki Noodle in Queens Park will become a wine bar and that Costa Coffee is also moving into Salusbury Road.

Costa were previously looking at the old Baker and Spice shop that became Gail's... have they found another site now?

One of the old shops in QP (Internet Cafe) is being gutted.

So Madaya seems to be finished but not open yet. Better be wood fired pizza or I'll shake my hairy fist at them.

One evening last week we went to No. 8 Station Terrace, the bistro. It was totally empty so we were a bit worried but thought should give a local enterprise our support and we are so glad we did. The food was absolutely fabulous. My husband is an excellent cook and hence an extremely fussy and critical customer to take to a restaurant. But he too thought the food was excellent and the service too was great (but then we were the only customers all through the meal). Definitely worth a visit and we will surely be going again. Thoroughly recommended.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
anyone else get woken up by the noise of (yet another) low flying helicopter. It started at 5am and lasted for 15mins. Sounded like it was gonna land in out garden in Ashburnham Rd it was that loud. I don't understand why this has to happen: A, often. B, over a residential area, and C, at such early hours. I think as tax payers and council tax payers we should at least be informed of what's happening given that amount of helicopters flying over our area and the noise they create. What say you nice people of KG,KR and QP.
I for one am not happy with the situation, I'm fed up with it. Fed up that the effects of them interfere with the tv, my mobile fone and even the house shakes sometimes. Who's up for setting up a group to find out what we can do about it.

I agree about the helicopters. What are they doing>? the only thing we can think of is that they are searching for escaped prisoners from Wormwood Scrubs (which must be easy to escape from since the helicopters hover so frequently!!)
