Google Earth now has 'satellite' (it must I guess be balloon or spy plane) imagery of London. Here's Kensal Rise in 1945 - if you click on it you can zoom in (the school north of Queen's Park obviously wasn't there). Copyright is obviously with Google Earth.

This isn't impressive. I worked at Brent Museum. They have tonnes of maps of KR, going back much earlier than 1945.
I can see why you no longer work there - it's an aerial photograph, not a map.
