Last night as I was walking home I saw two Police cars taping off Clifford Gardens and a helicopter flying above. It didn't look good...
I mentioned it on Twitter. I also on Twitter had someone claiming they wanted to buy the shop units under the new flats but Belway wouldn't sell. And it wasn't going to be a Tescos. Any more news on that?

Chamberlayne Road was also closed briefly at lunch time on Friday 13th. 2 police vans + a car blocked the road as they all got out (5+) and ran into the station. 5 minutes later they brought out a guy in a hood in hand cuffs!

Sadly one the two shops under the Bellway development will be a Tesco. The other is being marketed as a restaurant.
I have it on good authority ( very local estate agent friend) that the shop under the new flats is to be a Sainsbury's local. Shame, we were joping for a Waitrose !
