Free cash machine?

From the Kensal Green Directory I see this:

FREE Cash Machine!!!

We now have a free 24 hour cash machine! It is located at JR News (the Post Office) in College Rd.

Is this true? No need for Tescos then (well except for the other reasons).

Sorry this is nothing to do with free cash machines but I was wondering whether we could start a strand about gyms in Queen's Park? Namely Fitness First on Salusbury Road. (Kensal Rising covers Salusbury Road right?)

Is it not the worst gym in the area? I have lived in this area on and off for 12 years. I find myself joining then leaving and joining then leaving this gym. I don't want to go into all my reasons for hating it lest I sound a total cow, but just wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences with the gym or with any of the personal trainers?

I am a male member of fitness first in QP. I find it quite agressive around the free weights area with the guys their hogging all the weights and having a serious attitude if you ask to use them.

That's really interesting. I am a female user and have been mildly harrassed there. The free weights area is definitely the worst area. The men grunt so ridiculously loudly it is just intrusive. I have been to different gyms around London and I do agree that it is the worst one I have been to in a long time. I don't feel safe working out in there. But it is the closest gym to me. Not sure what to do...

Have you tried Nuffield what used to be Cannons in Brondesbury Park? Mean to be lovely. Plus Willesden ASports centre is all new and fancy now.

I have been using FF on Salusbury rd for 5 months now. I have not experienced any hostility yet and use the free weights section 2 times a week. I am not your typical daily weight visitor but do see the same faces there. It is a very small floor space to work out in but if the machines/benches are being used just ask how many more sets they have to do? If asked in a polite way you will get an answer. If they are going to be a while I always ask if we can share the spot. Only time I have ever got any negative response was from a gay bloke who told me I can share his crotch! I laughed it off and shared the dumb bell instead. I suppose what I am trying to say is small space, most people are willing to share if you ask and don't be intimidated by the size of people in there 95% are perfectly friendly.

I've been going to Cannons, now Nuffield, for years and have no complaints. Staff, trainers and members are very polite. Definitely recommend it.
