Not a lot to report at the moment. Does anyone know what the place behind black chipboard frontage on Chamberlayne Road is going to be? And what's that strange box that's appeared at Miro's tapas place on the pavement?
We're getting more good reviews about Luca - this time being offered wine as you get your haircut.
Meanwhile here's a man I've never heard of but who likes living in Kensal Green/Rise. He recommends a fish and chip shop - Seahorse on Harrow Road - which I've also never heard of. Is it any good?

The box outside Miro's is a platform where today I saw tables (think there were 2) and some chairs. Hope they get the weather for it.
I get that, but a fair chunk of the platform is a large box - sort of looks like where you might store the chairs or something.
Bins?
Really old photo in the Mail
Yes, good spot. The Greyhound isn't there yet (I remember that the pub before it from a single visit years back) and I'm not even sure Bawarchi is, is it?
I read in last Saturdays FT Magazine that James Blunt lives in Kensal Green too.
I believe the fish and chip shop he's referring to is the one next door to the Portugese sports bar, between Felixstowe Road and Greyhound Road. Wonder when the one on Chamberlayne Road will eventually open???
Passed by Miro's the other day and saw the box, yes looks like a storage box. Tho' guess it may be for garbage because it would have been locked if it was for storage, unless it was empty - didn't open to look in !!
Guess there isn't much going on in the Rise if the most exciting thing is "what's in the box?"
More "interesting" questions/things:
Wonder what the new shop will be behind the black covering on Chamberlayne Rd?
Also Salusbury Deli has appplied for a late license. Wonder if they are planning on opening as a restaurant?
Fair point about the box, althoug it is rather ugly. And what's behind the black covering was my second question...I looked in the other day and there was a basement being dug.
The shopfront behind the black chipboard near the top of Chamberlayne Rd is going to be an architect/design practice, with some retail at the front. Replaces the grotty looking internet cafe.
Think it might be a chippy.
What is going on at Kensal Green station? I hoped for a Simply Food but my fella said no, just general station upgrade. I noticed yesterday they have put some super-bright lights on the platforms. That's a start. Would be nice to have an indicator board thingy that tells you when the next train is coming before the decade is out...
I heard a rumour that the old lids cafe has been bought by soho house owner Nick, is this true or wild gossip?
There is an application on the door for a late license.
