Harvist to reopen...

Thanks to the comments box, it looks like Harvist is to reopen, with an Italian theme. Sounds good as Olive Branch never really got going and its a major thing lacking in Kensal Rise.

Anyone else been sick after eating at The Diner recently. We did, and another couple we know did too. Shame because it is a nice place to hang out...

Olive Branch was just a bit out of the way and they got wrong with the food and decor. They should have made it more like Ida on Kilburn Lane but with maybe some wood fired pizzas and then it would have done better. Shame cos the guy who owned it was really nice

Not been sick from The Diner but did get really over cooked corn on the cob. My little boy couldn't even chew it. Was almost rock hard. Don't know how they think it's acceptable to serve it like that. The food is very hit and miss there

Three words of advice for Harvist:

Wood. Fired. Pizza.

Do this properly and it will never be empty.

I ate at the diner twice last week & had a pretty bad experience both times which is a shame becuase I like the place.

The first time my country potatoes were almost inedible becuase they had so much salt on and the staff turned the music up FULL volume even though i was the only person in there & had an obvioulsy sleeping baby in a buggy.

The second time the foold was ok but the service was terrible, the poser waiter was more interested in messing around wiht the cook / other waiter than actually helping us.

I think the management needs to tighten up.

I've also heard The Diner have completely changed their kids menu and most people are complaining because it's stuff that most kids won't eat. They need to sort it out or they will lose a lot of custom.

We thought we'd try out the Diner for a birthday change - stood at the doorway for a good 10 mins waiting to be seating. No contact or acknowledgment from any of the staff - so we left and went to our usual - the wonderful Khas. We've never tried to go back to the Diner again, as we only remember it for the lack of service.
